Early December the Lapps returned back to base in Mayreau and began preparing for the 3 nation DTS.  There we some random projects on base that needed to get completed as we needed to get electric over to the classroom and office as well as pressured water to the cabins that would be used for the DTS.  Thankfully we were able to get all the hired help we needed on the island to get us operational for the DTS to come.
We also hosted a large children’s Christmas party for all the children on the island where Renita taught on the significance and history to Christ birth and why He had to come.  We also had Christmas cookie decorating as well as a movie depicting the Christmas story.  We were so blessed to have over 6 different young adults in our community come to help facilitate that and we are looking forward to working with them more as time goes on.  The children enjoyed the night as much laughter filled the air as we had them act out the Christmas story and enjoy some yummy cookies!
The last three weeks in the DTS have been full of life transforming teaching with the 11 students who are apart of the 3 nations DTS that we are hosting.  Its amazing to see God do deep work in each of their hearts as they allow God to heal broken parts of their lives and to see them come alive and minister to one another!  There are 6 different nations that are represented in the DTS.  Its exciting to see young adults from so many different backgrounds seeking God together.  They will be having one more week of class and then on Feb 2. they will be going up to St. Vincent to begin their 3 weeks of outreach.  We are so happy to be a part of helping God grow deeper in each of their lives.
In the next month we will have our annual board meetings as well as finish out the DTS with a debriefing week and graduation.  Thanks for taking the time to read and pray for us as we fight to see God known in St. Vincent and the Grenadines!
